Within gutter connected and contiguous greenhouses there are many types of designs such as arch gothic, open roof, A-frame, atrium, sawtooth, and Venlo. Below is an illustration with common greenhouse designs. We investigate a well-known benefit of semi-closed greenhouses: the capacity to collect transpired water and so increase water efficiency. Cooling equipment is used in semi-closed greenhouses to reduce the need for natural ventilation for temperature and humidity regulation.
